Engineering Projects

Baja SAE

As a drivetrain engineer on the Hopkins Baja SAE team, I have worked on improving the performance of our CVT and am currently designing the transfer case for the next vehicle.

I have also fabricated hundreds of parts for the top-5 overall 20XT vehicle using manual mills and lathes, CNC mills, and TIG welding.

I am designing the transfer case on the upcoming 21XT vehicle

I made a lightweight CVT part that improved 100-foot acceleration time by 3%

Other smaller projects I have done for the Baja team

FIRST Robotics Competition

In high school, I was the captain of my school's FIRST Robotics Competition team, Team 5438, the Technological Terrors.

While I am proud of the robots I built, I am even more proud about rebuilding the team after COVID - we started my junior season with five members, and I graduated with the team having almost forty members.

Guitars

I've been playing electric guitar since the age of 9, and in high school, I built two electric guitars completely from scratch.

This guitar utilizes a headless design and ultra-ergonomic body shape

This guitar, in addition to the regular EADGBE tuning, has two downtuned strings, usually tuned to a B and F#.
