Miscellaneous Baja Projects

CVT Case

To help get one of the older cars up and running for a competition, I fabricated a new case for the vehicles continuously-variable transmission (CVT). Through this project, I learned how to cut, bend, and roll sheet metal and weld aluminum.

Camera Enclosure

I created a waterproof enclosure for a global-shutter camera, Raspberry Pi, and supporting power adapters (seen mounted to the frame above the driver). This was used to test semantic segmentation software that the Data Acquisition subteam is working on for the upcoming season.

Ergonomics Rig

I developed an adjustable rig to test and validate the ergonomics of the vehicle. The rig is constructed mostly of 80/20 aluminum extrusion, with a plywood seat and 3D printed steering wheel mount.
